This is a video project I decided to undergo during my break. I have had a few ideas swarming around here lately about some really high quality video effects and editing I wanted to do but couldn't particularly find a basis, theme, or even the time to do it. But finally, I decided to corroborate an artistic, vivid and EXTREMELY abstract video, which is different from my typical line of work.
I was inspired by How to Destroy Angels and their recent artwork for their newest album 'Welcome oblivion'. After purchasing this new LP by the band and listening, I noticed how dark, and distinct the songs sounded, and how meaning can only be projected on a self implicated basis. In turn, I made this video, that you may or may not understand because anyone can interpret the lyrics in any way.
Furthermore, I have to give credit to Koyaanisqatsi, the 1983 (I believe) film that essentially showed what us as a population was putting our Earth through. 30 years later, things aren't particularly looking any brighter, in fact, worse.
The song is Too Late, All Gone by How to Destroy Angels as a part of Columbia Records from the new album 'Welcome oblivion'. HTDA is a band consisting of Trent Reznor, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Rob Sheridan. I made this video with the mindset similar to 'this is what an official HTDA video for this song would probably look like'. And I lead myself to believe that it would really cut as one. All other credit goes to Koyaanisqatsi alongside several other youtube videos that I utilized to bring forth adequate content.
