The United Nations classification scheme for African countries is used.[1]


Simply create a ==Related projects== section, somewhere on your Africa-related WikiProject page, usually at or very near the bottom, add {{Africa-related WikiProjects}} to that section and save the page.


At this time, the "guts" of the template cannot be extensively customized. Do not "subst:" this template, in an attempt to customize it or you will defeat its purpose. However, you can easily add a custom new section, simply by appending:
