The Journal of Human Evolution is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal covering all aspects of human and primate evolution. It was established in 1972 and is published by Elsevier. The editors-in-chief are Sarah Elton (Durham University) and Mike Plavcan (University of Arkansas). In addition to articles and studies published in the journal, the journal makes available space to publish brief announcements of new or important discoveries.
