Jang Da-hye (Hangul; born August 9, 1991),[1][2] better known by her stage name Heize, is a South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter and composer signed to Stone Music Entertainment.[3] After making her debut in 2014 with the EP Heize, she gained attention after appearing on the second season of South Korean reality show Unpretty Rapstar.[2]

Career

2014-present: Solo debut

Heize made her debut on 2014, with her debut EP, Heize, with a total of 6 songs included.

Heize took part in Mnet's reality rap show, Unpretty Rapstar but was eliminated in the semi-finals.

Heize released her second EP And July in 2016, and was eventually peaked at 34 at the Gaon Music Chart. The two singles' "And July" and "Shut Up & Groove" were peaked at 8 and 27 respectively at the nation's national chart. "Shut Up & Groove" also charted on US World, proving her worth overseas.

Heize released her digital single, "Star", in December 2016 and it achieved an "All-Kill" after reaching number one in all Korean music real-time charts upon release.[4] Her third extended play, /// (You, Clouds, Rain) (2017) and its lead singles "Don't Know You"[5] and "You, Clouds, Rain"[6] were successful and achieved "All-Kill" after reaching number one in all Korean music real-time charts and charted at number one on Gaon Digital Chart.

Heize released her fourth EP, "Wind" and was well received, with the lead singles topping the charts.
