Fashion Nugget is the second studio album by alternative rock band Cake. It was released in 1996, and contains 14 songs. "The Distance" became one of the band's biggest hits.[7]

On December 9, 1996, the album was certified gold by the RIAA, and the next year, the album was certified platinum for shipments of one million copies.[8]


The album contains elements of alternative rock,[1]rock,[6]funk,[1][2][9]hip hop,[10][1]rockabilly,[2]jazz,[2]country,[2][6][10]pop rock,[6]folk rock,[6] and Latin music.[2]
