Barren River

The Barren River is a 135-mile-long (217 km)[1]river in western Kentucky, United States. It is the largest tributary of the Green River, which drains more of Kentucky than any other river.[] The Barren River rises in Monroe County and flows into the Green in northeast Warren County.

At Greencastle, KY, the river has a mean annual discharge of 2,501 cubic feet per second.[2]
