The Fine Print
Must arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00p.m.
Wood is sold on a first-come, first served basis. You may come anytime during the sale hours.
Late arrivals cannot be accommodated, and tickets will be forfeited.
Tickets may be purchased for personal use only.
Each person present must have a signed Liability Waiver (including children).
All sales are final; refunds will not be given.
Firewood must be picked up and removed on the specified ticket date and time.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed.
Wood is decked beside the parking lot and there is limited space for vehicles. You may have to wait your turn to access the log deck.
Vehicles waiting to load their firewood must not obstruct the flow of traffic within the parking lot or on the road.
Each ticket is good for 1 truck, and as many helpers as needed, as long as each person signs a Liability Waiver.
Extreme caution must be used when driving steep, winding mountain roads with a full load of wood.
All vehicles must be licensed and insured.
Drivers must obey all rules, regulations and directions given by staff.
Loads must be securely and safely secured per applicable CDOT regulations.
Wood available is large and heavy. It is strongly recommended that you bring a chainsaw and all required Personal Protective Equipment.
Wood species available are ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir.
Firewood may be green or dry.
No guarantee of moisture content or wood quality is expressed or implied.
Firewood will already be pre-cut into lengths no longer than 8’ long, stacked in decks beside the parking lot.
Bucking of oversized material to facilitate/enable manual handling is allowed.
Ticket holders may use chainsaws (2 chainsaws max per ticket holder).
Chainsaw operators must wear appropriate personal safety equipment including eye and ear protection, gloves, chaps, and boots. Without ALL these pieces of safety equipment you will not be allowed to cut.
Processing of material into stove-length pieces on site is not allowed.
What is a Cord of Wood?
A full cord is defined as 128 cubic feet stacked.
A standard 8-foot pickup bed will hold approximately ½ cord stacked level to the top of the bed, but with rails, some can fit a whole cord.
Just because your truck can fit a whole cord does not mean it can safely transport a whole cord, please know what your vehicle can handle, especially on steep mountain roads!
Adverse Weather and Prescribed Fire
If staff determines that weather, prescribed fire, or other adverse conditions affect the ability to access the site, an alternate date will be scheduled
Ticket holders will be alerted by email if a sale is postponed
