Join the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and learn, provide feedback, and get answers to your questions about the CDBG program. Training will be provided in a classroom setting and will include the following topics:
CDBG 101: Introduction to CDBG and HUD terminology from planning to reporting.
CDBG Redesign: The proposed method of distribution for CDBG funds.
CDBG Program Income: Managing program income and new policies and procedures.
CDBG Cross-Cutting: Meeting federal cross-cutting requirements, including procurement, environmental review, and labor compliance.
CDBG Monitoring: What to expect and how to prepare for CDBG monitoring
Training is open to any stakeholders interested in learning more about he CDBG program, and will be targeted to project and program managers, administrators, and support staff, consultants, and any other stakeholders interested in learning about the CDBG program.
Doors open at 8:30 and staff will be available throughout the day. Class sessions will start at 9:00 and will last between an hour and an hour and a half with breaks between classes. Classes will be designed for stakeholders with beginner to intermediate experience with the CDBG Program.
The CDBG Program provides funding to eligible grantees to support a range of activities, including economic development, public facilities and infrastructure, owner-occupied housing assistance, and public services.
