Join us in person or remotely for a Supported Decision-Making “Train the Trainer” event. This training is for stakeholders interested in promoting the use of Supported Decision-Making and other options for adulthood.
WHAT IS SUPPORTED DECISION-MAKING?
Supported Decision-Making (SDM) is a way to aid the decision-making process. In SDM, the person who needs assistance chooses supporters they trust, and defines how they want help to be given and in what areas of their life. The supporters provide that assistance but the person retains final decision-making authority. It can be used as an alternative to guardianship to help promote the person’s self-determination and independence.
