Mr. Roy Tun, born on June 26, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Pang Shee Tun and the late Bak Yee Tun, passed away at age 87 on April 1, 2019, in Orlando, Florida. Roy served in the Air Force in the Korean War. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked in the Precision Plastics industry initially as an engineer, then as plant manager at Eaton Corporation. He attended the Chinese Christian Union Church and was active as a teacher, deacon, and youth leader until he joined Pastor Woo in planting Faith Bible Church. He retired from Eaton in 1993 then moved to Orlando in 2000.
He cared for thousands of Disney interns from around the world and introduced them to the love of God. He expressed God's love to them in service, hospitality, as counselor, and mentor. He became a partner with Agape Source, a new organization with the same vision, heart, and passion. This work was his passion until the very end of his life. Roy was married to Leora Tun for 58 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry Tun (Florence) and Charles Tun (Lorraine); and sisters, Rose Toy (Thomas) and Clarisse Gin (David). Roy is survived by his son, Jonathan Tun (Kathy); daughters, Lynette Martin (Bill) and Sharon Kenmotsu (Steve); sisters, Viola Ozone (Koho) and Mabelle Chan (Louis); grandchildren, Jaquie Tun, Nathaniel Martin, Keanu Tun, Erin Martin, Kyle Kenmotsu, Jada Tun, Daniel Martin, Abigail Martin, and Jenna Kenmotsu; many dearly loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, and too numerous to count spiritual children. In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts, donations in Roy's name to Agape Source are welcome and appreciated.
