Join us in marking the next chapter of a shared history spanning over 200 years, as Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, together with The General Commission on Archives and History, returns sacred land to The Wyandotte Nation.
Missionary John Stewart arrived to minister to the Wyandot/te in the early 1800s, and a unique intertwining of the paths of the Methodists and the Wyandot/te began. Since 1843, when the Wyandot/te were forced west to Kansas, and later to Oklahoma, the Methodist Mission Church and burial grounds have been held in trust. We hope you will join us for this celebration of our shared history and future together.
