The Children’s Docket 2019A 5-part Brown Bag Training Series for Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys
The Support Center for Child Advocates, Center for Excellence in Advocacy is pleased to bring back The Children's Docket Brown Bag Series for Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys, with a 5-part series for 2019!
Building off of our previous training series, these sessions are specifically designed for Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys and are meant to provide more detailed information about the ins and outs of handling a child abuse case, how to prepare for particular hearings, and how to access services.
Starting in March, the series will run over the course of 2019 and will consist of five sessions held on the second Thursday of every other month.*
(*the first session will be on the third Thursday of March; March 21st)
Session 1: Getting to Know Your Child Client Thursday, March 21st
Session 2: Behavioral Health Services Thursday, May 9th
Session 3: Complex Medical Issues and Services Thursday, July 11th
Session 4: Services for Older Youth Thursday, September 12th
Session 5: Collaborating with Parent’s Attorneys Thursday, November 14th
All sessions are scheduled from 12:15- 1:30 and held at Support Center for Child Advocates (1617 JFK Blvd, Suite 1200, Philadelphia, PA 19103)
*CLE credits are free for all active Child Advocates’ Volunteer Attorneys with open cases on the date of the training. All attendees without open cases can either (1) sign up to take a case on or by the date of the training to receive free CLE credit or (2) pay $10.00 per CLE credit.
