He has taught thousands of students, published hundreds of peer reviewed scientific papers, and has authored over 50 chapters and books. His work has featured internationally on TV and documentaries including the highly acclaimed “Dogs Decoded” by Nova (https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/nature/dogs-decoded.html). His talks sold out last year and were highlighted as one of the top 10 behavior symposiums to attend by the Modern Dog Trainer. His passion for science and behavior research is only equaled by his desire to explain this to those of us working and living with dogs who can improve their welfare as a result.
Dr. Emily Levine:
Dr. Levine is a veterinary behaviorist in New Jersey. She is the director of the Animal Behavior Clinic of Animal Emergency and Referral Associates in Fairfield, NJ. She is a pioneer in building bridges between trainers and veterinary behaviorists that foster maximal behavioral care for pets. She is co-owner of Instinct Northern New Jersey, a large positive reinforcement - based board and train facility in Englewood, which is currently a one of kind facility that is a collaborative effort between trainers and a veterinary behaviorist. She believes that by building bridges and working together we can advance the welfare of dogs’ lives and bring the science of training and welfare where it matters most - in the home.
She has authored chapters in several textbooks, a chapter in the popular book Decoding Your Dog, has had her research published in peer reviewed journals, was a Co-Editor of the International Veterinary Behavioral Medicine Conference Proceedings.
