The Rhode Island Association of Emergency Managers (RIAEM), the Community College of Rhode Island's (CCRI) Emergency Management & Homeland Security Program, and the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) are proud to bring you the 2019 Rhode Island Preparedness Conference. The conference will be held at the CCRI - Knight Campus in Warwick, RI on Thursday, June 20th, 2019. The theme for this year’s one-day conference is “Rhode to Recovery”.

Registration will be from 7:30am - 8:30am inside the main entrance on the second floor near the bookstore. A continental breakfast will be available to all registered attendees in the Student Dining Commons on the first floor during registration. The official program will begin at 8:30 in the Student Dining Commons with welcoming remarks and our first keynote speaker.
The Rhode Island Preparedness Conference will bring together more than 200 participants including emergency managers, public safety professionals, public works, additional state and municipal representatives, health care professionals, the business community, public school systems, colleges and universities, and more; with sessions around the theme of disaster recovery geared toward all of these sectors and partner groups.
Our keynote speaker this year is Peter Gaynor, Acting Administrator of FEMA, former RIEMA Director, and former PEMA Director.
Our lunchtime speaker this year is Kenneth Graham, Director of the National Weather Service's National Hurricane Center.
